Summit Facilitator Announcement: GLORINA STALLWORTH
We are delighted to announce Glorina Stallworth as a conversation facilitator for the 2021 NC Sexual Violence Primary Prevention Summit!
Glorina Stallworth, BSW, proud Tennessee native and Graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville is the Prevention Unit Manager for the Injury and Violence Prevention Branch at the North Carolina’s Division of Public Health. Glorina has recently transitioned into this new position a few months ago and is enjoying making linkages within the Branch’s programs, from suicide prevention to sexual violence prevention. She served as the Division’s Rape Prevention and Education Program Manager for the past 7 years. In this role, she managed funding from the Centers for Disease Control that is distributed to local rape crisis centers and other community-based organizations across the state to implement sexual violence prevention programming in their communities. Glorina works at both the local and state level to build statewide capacity around violence prevention through a multi-disciplinary lens. She is current Board Chair for the North Carolina Victim’s Assistance Network and co-chair of the North Carolina Sexual Violence Prevention Team. Glorina has an extensive background in violence prevention and mental health. She was the Family Violence Prevention Coordinator with the NC Department of Health and Human Services and is a Certified Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) and a Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professional (QDDP) in Child and Adult Mental Health. Her experience of more than 25 years has afforded her the opportunity to use numerous platforms to promote the safety and well-being of North Carolinians across the state.
