Networking Social Each Day!
We know that one of the things we miss most about joining our colleagues in the movement at conferences is the networking — seeing people we miss, connecting with new colleagues, making new friends! So for those of you who miss the networking times, or who anticipate that they will want to connect with others passionate about anti-violence, anti-oppression work during what is undoubtedly a tumultuous time in our country, we will be hosting networking socials Wednesday, January 20 from 4:00-5:30 and Thursday, January 21 from 4:00-5:00 pm EST.
Want to plan to meet a friend there? We have four rooms available:
- The Lounge: Join us in our conference lounge where you can listen to jazz or pour yourself a drink while connecting with new and old friends.
- The Break Room: Want somewhere to hang with people who are 100% interested in talking shop and sharing ideas and research? Join us in the break room!
- The Deck: Wanna hang with your new friends by the conference hotel pool? Join us on the deck, where you can pour yourself a drink, enjoy a poolside chair, or float in the pool. Don’t forget your towel!
- The U: Are you a college student, faculty member, or someone who does campus sexual violence prevention? Join us in the campus union for chit chat with your colleagues, mentors, and peers by the library stacks, foosball table, or computer lab!
Each room is set to hold up to 25 people, so feel free to mingle and meet new folks as you try out new rooms! You will need to create an account at the platform host (a process which only takes a few minutes), and enable your camera and audio before entering the rooms. Please be respectful, courteous, and kind to ensure a fun and emergent space for everyone!
Link will be provided to registered attendees during the morning and afternoon announcements of the conference!
